MCC Alumnus Jerome Flood Hosts Guitar Clinic


MCC alumnus Jerome Flood II, a 2007 graduate of the Performance Art Music program at MCC, will be in Rochester on Saturday, April 24, to host a drum clinic at the Greater Adams Street Church of God by Faith located at 230 Adams Street.  The clinic will begin at 4:00 p.m.

Since graduating from MCC, Jerome was named “America’s Top Undiscovered Drummer” in the 2008 Guitar Center’s 20th Annual Drum-off championship in January 2009. He made his first television debut with a performance on the Last Call With Carson Daly show.

He completed his studies at the Atlanta Institute of Music in March 2009. He is now playing for an up and coming R&B artist,
Musiq Soulchild. He has traveled to London, England, and is looking forward to many other international tours.  Musiq Soulchild was nominated for three Grammy’s this year.

Jerome was featured in Modern Drummer and Drum magazines. In March, Jerome participated in the 2010 International Drummers for Jesus Celebration, held in Dallas, Texas, along with other world renowned drum artists, i.e. Gordon Campbell, Gerald Hayward, Aaron Spears, Teddy Campbell, and Marvin McQuitty.

Jerome will share insights on his career and demonstrate is exceptional skill during the session.  The clinic is free to the public.
