The Career Center is very pleased to announce the following information regarding transfer student acceptances to Amherst College and Cornell University for the Fall 2007 semester as part of our new Jack Kent Cooke Foundation partnerships:
Amherst College - 3 applicants, all of which were granted admission (only 8 additional students were accepted from other 2 year colleges)
Cornell University - 17 applicants, of which 14 were granted admission; (this is an 82% acceptance rate, compared to a 48% acceptance rate in 2006 pre-Pathway to Success Program)
Please continue to refer students who may be interested in Amherst or Cornell to the Career Center. These are proven options for MCC students!
