CircleIn Updates

I want to again thank the faculty and staff who assisted in making this study app available to all our students. In particular, this ongoing service would not be possible without the support of Jamie Hoover, Instructional Technologies. We have received positive feedback from students since the April launch.

We will complete a full assessment of the student experience with CircleIn at the end of the fall - but for now, I am happy to report:

  • 65% of all Fall 2020 students have downloaded the app.
  • IR completed an impact analysis from the spring use and found a 13.5% lift in persistence for spring CircleIn users.

CircleIn features support student connection for asking questions, sharing notes, hosting live study sessions, creating and sharing flashcards, and organizing tasks. Students will now be able to take notes directly on CircleIn and organize them into digital workbooks assigned to each class.

The goal of this new feature is to help students become more actively engaged with the academic content faculty are sharing, and also help them engage with their classmates on CircleIn to setup their own study groups, question each other, support each other and help one another become successful.

We all want the same thing for our students, success. The goal is to wrap a community of support around them and their classmates, and encourage collaboration.

Students can see the features of the app at https://students.circleinapp.com/

Faculty can create an account and view the activity in your classes at https://insights.circleinapp.com/

  • This website also has useful videos and guides for faculty.
  • From here you can schedule a 1:1 appointment with CircleIn or schedule a representative to present to your students.

Thank you again for your support.
