Student, Faculty, and Program Use of Electronic Portfolios, ITC Audioconference

MCC will host the ITC audioconference entitled "Student, Faculty, and Program use of Electronic Portfolios" scheduled for Tuesday, March 21 at 2:00 in the Board Lounge.  Presenter Tracy Wright, Practical Nursing Instructor at Northwest Technical College, will introduce the concept of electronic portfolios (e-folios). E-folio allows individuals, even those limited in their experience with electronic programs, to create Web-based educational and career repositories showcasing achievements and goals. This is a great tool for students and faculty. E-folio can also provide a method for continuously and comprehensively documenting program quality indicators. Programs may choose to highlight credentialing exam results, retention, graduation rates, placement rates, student progress, program objective mastery, program responsiveness and/or evolution. E-folio offers a mechanism for displaying student projects, experiential learning, and application of knowledge. All of these tools are integral for program evaluation, accreditation, and research. Wright will describe and provide a guided electronic tour through student, faculty, and program sites.
