"Maintain Don't Gain"


Eighteen employees have signed up for “Maintain Don’t Gain” program offered by Health Services.  If you missed it in the Tribune, the program is to promote healthy eating over the holiday season so that you maintain your present weight and don’t gain extra pounds from too much turkey, stuffing, holiday treats and beverages! 

To assist in keeping a healthy weight and knowing how many calories in servings of your favorite holiday meals, please check out these websites.  The website <"https://www.nhlbi.nih.gov"www.nhlbi.nih.gov> is a Body Mass Index and healthy weight for height chart.  The website <"https://www.walking.about.com"> has a Thanksgiving Calorie Counter that will do the math for you to figure out how far you need to walk to burn the calories you’ve consumed.

The weather forecast for the holiday weekend predicts perfect weather for a nice fall walk!
