Derek Harrison, emeritus Professor of Philosophy at MCC, will give the 2017 McMurry lecture Oct 21, 12:00-12: 50.
Harrison, known for his service work around the globe, draws on his newly published book Turning Times: Stories of People Who Serve, for a message of compassion, living well, and sustaining hope in dark places. Harrison describes people who suffer, the people who tend to their suffering and try to ease it, and the satisfactions, reflections, and regrets of those who serve.
