SUNY Print Program Coming to MCC

The SUNY-MCC print program seeks to reduce cost, waste, print and paper, simplify and standardize the printer fleet (both single-function and multi-function printers) and optimize the overall print environment. SUNY has entered into an agreement with Toshiba and Pharos as lead vendors for the project.

What does this mean to MCC?  MCC will now be able to replace the existing Xerox multifunction devices with expired leases with new state-of-the-art Toshiba equipment.  We anticipate that this will yield both greater efficiencies as well as cost savings for the college through reduced lease expenses and price per print rates.  Working with SUNY, Toshiba will help us assess how we deploy print devices across our campuses and will generate specific best-practice recommendations for eliminating wasteful printing.  On-campus work with Toshiba will begin June 13.

The week of June 13th, Toshiba will be at MCC walking through every office, classroom, and lab to note where printing devices are currently placed.  Working with SUNY, the vendor will then provide a comprehensive plan to MCC regarding where to place print equipment and optimize the print function.  This plan will be fully vetted internally before any further actions are taken.

How can I ask a question, provide suggestions or feedback?  All questions, suggestions, and feedback related to the SUNY Print Program can be submitted to SUNYPrintProgram@monroecc.edu. (Please do not submit requests for service or broken printers to this email address, but continue to submit help desk tickets).

We appreciate your participation and patience through this process.  MCC expects to receive results from Toshiba at the beginning of July.
