2007 MCC United Way Campaign: March 21st to April 30th

“We don’t change lives – you do.”  That’s what United Way’s liaison Cara Meyers said to the department coordinators last week at the college’s campaign kickoff luncheon and training session.

What they’re getting at is that each and every one of us, here at MCC are the ones who make the difference.  We’re the ones who put graduation caps on kids.  We make sure seniors get their basic needs met.  We help women escape domestic violence.  We help people with disabilities and their families.

We’re excited to offer the college online pledging in addition to paper pledging this year, and we’re happy to announce the college’s first online donor came from Library department coordinator Alice Harrington who attended the first training session March 21st.  Congratulations, Alice!

Expect to receive your packet from your department coordinator this week. There are a number of ways you can choose to give and to direct your gift, including three United Way donor interest areas that you may find meaningful. The college’s goal is $105,000.

Online donation is an easy and efficient way to give.
