Statement from Governor Cuomo on the Passing of New York State Trooper Timothy Pratt

Flags should be lowered immediately and remain at half staff until futher notice

“I am shocked and saddened to learn of the tragic death of New York State Police Trooper Timothy Pratt. Since beginning his career with the State Police in 1987, Mr. Pratt served with integrity and pride, demonstrating a deep commitment to upholding the highest principals of the law. Trooper Pratt was a loving father, friend and neighbor who worked each and every day to make his community and all of New York a better place. Just last month, he joined me in paying tribute to our state’s first responders by leading our annual 9/11 motorcycle ride from the Capital Region to New York City.

“At this difficult time, I extend my thoughts and prayers to Trooper Pratt’s fiancée, his children and all those who loved him. In honor of Trooper Pratt’s life and work, I am directing all flags to half staff starting today, Wednesday, October 26, 2016.”
