The MCC Fall College-Wide Open House for high school students and parents is scheduled for Saturday, October 15, 10am – 2pm.
This year, our event will include a more in-depth focus on the MCC Schools. Specialty Tours and Faculty Meet and Greet will be the students first introduction to our outstanding academic programs. This new format will replace the Academic Department Information Tables. Student Information Tables and School Information Tables will be similar to previous years.
The Open House day is successful because more than 80 faculty and staff contribute their time and enthusiasm to make this a welcoming and productive event. With the overwhelming success of the specialty tours during last year’s recruitment events, as well as the feedback from visitors, faculty and staff, a more personalize and focused approach is a welcomed addition.
In the Campus Center, the event will feature Campus Life, Student Services, Campus Tours (general) and Workshops. In addition, we will ask that each MCC School have an information table staffed with folks that can answer questions about programs, as well as provide program sheet handouts.
I recognize that it is a significant commitment on the part of faculty and staff to participate, and the Office of Admissions appreciates your contribution. Our fall College-Wide Open House is one of our signature recruitment events.
