Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP-MCC) held our 8th Train the Trainers on March 19-21, 2015 on our Damon City Campus. Lead trainers were Michael Johnson, student services, and me. Since 2010, MVP-MCC has graduated over 200 mentors who are committed to intervening when they witness bullying, harassment and violence in our communities. This three-day training is only offered at two other colleges and MCC is the only community college with this curriculum.
MVP founder Dr. Jackson Katz recently launched an updated website - https://www.mvpstrat.com/. Just go to MVP Programs, then Colleges, and our work is featured! Attached is our information sheet, should you or anyone you know be interested in joining us.
