The MCC athletic program continued its brilliance this weekend, as all three fall sports teams captured Region III championships.

The men's soccer team won the 13th regional title in its history in dramatic fashion, defeating rival Bryant & Stratton on penalty kicks.  Goalie Patrick Regna made a big stop during the shootout and then added the game-winning PK.  Head coach Nelson Cupello was named Region III Coach of the Year.

The women's soccer team won its 19th regional title, defeating Bryant & Stratton 6-0.  The Tribunes scored four goals in the first half and never looked back.  Head coach Tracey Britton received the same honor as Cupello, garnering regional Coach of the Year accolades.

Both soccer teams will host district tournaments this weekend with national tournament births on the line.

The women's volleyball team, under the direction of head coach Tara Jehlen, won its first ever regional title with a win over host Alfred State.  The Tribunes were led by MVP Jessica Tucker.  MCC will have a few weeks off before heading to nationals in Rochester, Minn.
