Virtual Campus: Summer Funding Available!

Virtual Campus Summer Institute summer stipends are awarded to faculty to make an overhaul to their fully online course using the OSCQR (Open SUNY Course Quality Review) rubric during the summer. Revisions will occur over the summer with completion by August 19, 2019. Funding is limited and is $500 per course.

Funds are awarded upon completion and approval of the project. In order to participate in the summer institute, you must be available to attend all workshops listed below and committed to completing all outside requirements.

  • Workshop Sessions:
    • Workshop #1: OSCQR Rubric/Accessibility/Tools You Can Use
      Thursday, June 27, 9 am-3 pm
    • Workshop #2: Online Course Showcase
      Monday, August 19th, 9 am-11 am
  • Outside of Class Requirements:
    • Pre-work (video assignment) & OSCQR Rubric Completion (before session)
    • At least one hour scheduled with an assigned instructional designer during the summer (in person, on or off campus, or Zoom Conference)
    • Spend at least 5 hours making necessary revisions to your course
