Lauren Pivnick, associate professor, sociology, recently joined the Public Policy Team of the United Way of Greater Rochester, Community Impact Division. The team is currently focused on issues of lead-poisoning prevention, increasing child care subsidies to families in poverty, and supporting legislation to permanently establish the 2-1-1 human services referral hotline.
