On Friday, March 24 and Friday, April 7, the MCC United Way committee invites you to end your work day by participating in a United Way Walk-a-thon through the campus, joining your MCC colleagues for a celebration of giving. You can join in the walk-a-thons any time from 3:45 pm to 4:15 pm by signing in at either of three starting points: the Flynn Campus Center Atrium Terrace (Building 3), the PAC Center Lobby (Building 10), or the North Atrium (Building 12). At the starting point tables, you can pick-up a map of walking routes through the campus buildings, grab a bottled water, fill out a ticket for the prize drawings, and … make a donation to the United Way. Then go for a stroll!!! Walk a mile! Walk through a few buildings! Walk around in a circle! It doesn’t matter how far you travel as long as you participate.
All participants are welcome to gather on the Terrace for the celebration and prize drawings starting at 4:30 pm. Each $1.00 donation to the United Way earns you a chance to win a fabulous prize from our generous donors: the MCC Bookstore, Pepsi, Java’s, Food for Thought, and the United Way Committee. Prizes include United Way T-shirts, Gift Certificates, Vera Bradley Items, MCC logo merchandise and more! (Wow! Where can I buy a ticket?)
And as if those prizes aren’t enough to get you moving, every dollar up to $1,000 donated during the walk-a-thons will be matched by the Kress-Davis Family!
So mark March 24th and April 7th on your Get-Fit-For-Spring calendar and End-Your-Day with The United Way!
