Welcome Back

Welcome back from the staff of your Bookstore. We hope you had a great
summer. The Bookstore was a busy place this summer with many exciting
changes, which we would like to share with you.

On your next visit to the store, you will notice that we have remodeled
and re-arranged the Textbook Department. The wall between the two
selling areas was removed to make it one space. We have also
re-arranged the fixtures to improve the flow of customer traffic and
have added additional shelving to increase the availability of texts.

We also had some personnel changes in the Textbook Department. First,
we created a new position, Coursebook Coordinator, and hired Darren
Kwiatkowski to fill it. Darren comes to us with five years of textbook
experience from working at the University of North Carolina Bookstore in
Chapel Hill. Along with helping on the floor with stocking, Darren will
be assisting Laura Silivestro with ordering and faculty communications
for some departments.

Next, our long-time Textbook Assistant, Bev Ashley, retired this summer.
We know that many of you knew and enjoyed working with Bev and join us
in wishing her a happy life away from MCC.

Filling Bev's position is Paul Johnston. Paul joins us from the RIT
Bookstore's Textbook Department where he has worked for the past ten
years. Paul's primary responsibilities will be supervising the selling
floor and overseeing the student workers.

Laura Silivestro, Tony Wagahoff, Carol Fisher and the rest of the staff
remain to assist you as well. Please don't hesitate to let any of us
know if we can help you in any way.

We hope you have an exciting and productive year!
