There are some chances for students to make mistakes when completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
For instance, there are certain assets students should not report in the FAFSA. Reporting unnecessary asset information in the federal application is a mistake that should be avoided because these mistakes may keep students from receiving the financial assistance for which they may be eligible. As an example, a student is not required to report his/her principal place of residence or personal possessions such a car.
The attached document will assist students to complete the FAFSA accurately.
