Last fall, a grassroots effort to honor Dr. Jeff Bartkovich was spearheaded by MCC friends Barbara Christoff and Marie Fetzner. Many of those who have worked closely with Jeff over the past two decades expressed their appreciation for his leadership by choosing to donate to the MCC Foundation’s ETS Scholarship in Jeff’s honor and/or requesting to be seated at “Fans of Jeff” tables at the MCC Foundation’s 2011 Salute to Excellence dinner. A photo of Jeff and Barbara from the November 17th dinner is attached.
Between October 20 and November 30, 2011, 32 gifts totaling $1,125 were contributed to the ETS Scholarship in Jeff’s honor. A total of 49 individuals were seated at “Fans of Jeff” tables at the Salute to Excellence dinner -- everybody had a great time sharing their Jeff stories. A list of donors and a list of those sitting at “Jeff” tables are attached.
A Memory Book for Jeff, signed by the “Fans of Jeff” scholarship donors and those seated at “Fans of Jeff” tables, will provide Jeff with a lasting token of appreciation for all of his work to date on behalf of MCC’s students, faculty and staff. Thanks to everyone who participated in the “Fans of Jeff” recognition, thanks to the MCC Foundation staff, and special kudos to VP Jeff Bartkovich!
