Safe Zone Training

Safe Zone Training will be offered on Wednesday, June 6th, as part of the 5th Annual Faculty Senate Professional Development Week.

The Safe Zone training program aims to increase the awareness and knowledge of individuals who wish to learn more about the LGBTQ community. Through this training, individuals will begin to develop skills that will enable them to create safe, welcoming and inclusive spaces for LGBTQ students & employees at MCC. Safe Zone training provides participants with the skills needed to advocate for LGBTQ individuals and to challenge homophobia, transphobia and heterosexism.

If you are interested in learning more about gender, sexuality & LGBTQ identities and would like to become an ally on campus, please consider attending the training. As a result of your participation in the training, you will be provided with a Safe Zone sticker which will identify you as a campus ally.
