Carole d’Inverno – A Presentation of her work
Thursday, February 25 at 5:00 p.m.
Meeting ID: 810 7949 9466.  Passcode: Portfolio

“History is central to my work. I immigrated from Europe to the United States as a young woman. I saw the disparity in wealth, the gun violence, the racial tension, but also the familial interactions in closeknit communities, the pride in country, the belief in ‘everything is possible’. I turned to history to understand the contradictions.” Carole d’Inverno is a self-taught artist who grew up in Belgium and Italy. She moved to the US in 1979, and resides in Brooklyn, New York. Selected exhibitions include Transumanza: Duluth and Minnesota, Duluth Art Institute, Duluth, MN (upcoming); Transumanza: Massillon and Ohio, Massillon Museum, Massillon, OH; Appalachia: an Abstraction, Western Carolina University, Cullowhee, NC; A Way of Saying, at MCC, State University New York, Rochester, NY.
