Woodhams Earns Competent Toastmaster Award

Nancy Woodhams, Facilities, is the first MCC Toastmaster to earn a Competent Toastmaster Award with the completion of her 10th inspirational speech on May 11, 2004. Through the 10 required speeches for the award, Woodhams focused on developing specific public speaking skills--from entertaining her audience to speaking with sincerity. Woodhams serves as the secretary of the MCC Toastmasters Club and was recently elected to continue in that role through Spring 2005.

Congratulations also are extended to Alice Harrington, LeRoy V. Good Library, and Mary Louise Musler, Rochester Parent Network, the two newest members of the MCC Toastmasters Club who were inducted into membership at the meeting.

The next meeting of the MCC Toastmasters Club will be on May 25 at 4:30 pm in room 12-105 on the Brighton Campus. All are welcome to attend and learn more about how Toastmasters can benefit you. Please call Samson Olaode, vice president of membership and STAGE director, at x1693.
