Anti-Virus Software Update

During the next two weeks, ETS will be upgrading the anti-virus software installed on faculty and staff PCs on campus to Symantec Endpoint Protection version 11.

The upgrades will be take place automatically after business hours, and as such, we request that you leave your PC on overnight so this software can be installed.  If your PC cannot be reached overnight, the update will be pushed during the day, which may result in a brief period of slowness as an initial virus scan is performed.

You will know when your anti-virus software is upgraded by the new icon you will see in your Systray (by the digital clock in the lower right corner of your desktop) – a yellow shield with a green dot.

In the unlikely event that you encounter any issues as a result of this upgrade, rebooting your PC should take care of it.  Otherwise, please contact the Help Desk at HELP option 1.
