What Would You Do?  Need an Ego Boost?


 
Tuesday’s Enough is Enough events were a huge success!  Let’s keep the momentum going.  Check out what’s happening today…

Wednesday, April 8:

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.: Brick Wall of Violence (North Atrium/PAC Lobby) - Take a moment to tell your story of how you or someone you know has been effected by violence.

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.: Violence through ART (North Atrium and Campus Center Atrium) – Commercial Art II students created a poster series of illustrations to educate people about acts of violence.  MEET THE ARTISTS on 4/9 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.: Shoes of the Victims/13 Stories of Domestic Violence (Terrace)– Take time to reflect as you interact with this display of shoes with corresponding stories of women who have been murdered on college campuses around the county.

8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.:  Offensive Clothing Display (Outside GYM Lobby) – See a display of real pieces of clothing that were sold in retail stores and on the internet. Are you offended?  Tell us your opinion.

10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Boost Your Ego: Empowering Others Through Sense of Style, Safety and Self (Campus Center Atrium/Terrace) – Students of Shear Ego International School of Hair Design will do makeovers, haircuts, make-up tips, and mini manicures.  This isn’t an event you want to miss!

12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Meditation (9-152):  A guided meditation for relaxation. 

12:00 p.m -1:00 p.m: These Hands Don’t Hurt Pledge (Main Dining/Brick Lounge/North Atrium/Building 10) – Come take the Pledge that you will not participate in violence. 

4:00 p.m - 5:00 p.m: I Hate Porkchops: Bullying (Forum) – Shane Koyczan – To This Day… From Bullied to Beautiful.

6:00 p.m:  Don’t Sleep on Your Concerns (Canal Conference Room) – Find yourself ignoring concerns or not sure how to approach others about these feelings?  Learn tips and tricks to help.  You just might save a life.

8:00 p.m: Pillowcases for PEACE (Canal Lobby) – Create a pillowcase for the women and children that call the Sojourner House home.  Words of inspiration, hope, and love can change lives.
