Take Back the News offers its 2nd annual writing workshop for student survivors of sexual assault

The Take Back the News College Writing Project is a six-week writing workshop for student survivors of sexual assault.  The workshop is free and open to MCC students and will run Wednesday evenings, March 5th through April 9th.

Throughout the course of the workshop, students will experience the profound effects of writing and sharing their stories while also becoming part of a larger community of writers and survivors.  Students from last year’s workshop left with more confidence, a stronger understanding of their individual power, and a more secure sense of their presence within their communities.

Registration begins now for the spring workshop. For more information or registration please contact Professor Maria Brandt at Brighton <
mailto:mbrandt@monroecc.edu> or 292-3394 or Professor Angelique Stevens at Damon <mailto:astevens@monroecc.edu> or 262.1767.  Seats will fill up fast so register soon.
