Kudos to Maribel Maldonado!
Maribel, the Residence Life Financial Aid Representative in the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development, received the annual Latinas Unidas Scholarship. She was awarded the scholarship at the 2011 Reconocimiento Awards Luncheon. Maribel is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Education (Enrollment Management) from Capella University. She graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management. And, best of all, Maribel graduated from Monroe Community College in 2009 with a Associate of Science degree in Business Administration.
Latinas Unidas is an organization dedicated to uniting Latina women from different segments of the Greater Rochester Community who share common concerns and interests affecting women. Recipients of the Latinas Unidas scholarship are adult Latinas who desire to pursue educational initiatives and have demonstrated their personal commitment to bettering their lives.
