Radiologic Technology (XRT) Students Shine

Students in the MCC Radiologic Technology Program participated in several events sponsored by the New York State Society of Radiologic Sciences that were held in conjunction with their annualconference. The conference was held in Corning, NY.

All thirty current sophomore students participated in the "display" poster contest.

The class helped create research information for their "scholarly" poster entitled "Axillary Shoulder Projection - Velpeau Technique" which won first place in that category.

The MCC team took 3rd place in the annual "Student Bowl" competition in which teams from Radiologic Technology programs throughout the state participated. Team members were Alicia Shallenberger, Corey Siudym and Amber Wiebolt.

Class of 2017 graduate Samantha Robb won first place and graduate Nichole Blumenthal won second place in the state sponsored professional essay contest.

More recently the program celebrated "Radiologic Technology Week" November 5-11. They celebrated by participating in "best use of a skeleton" and "color by pixel" contests. Katherine Bolognese Gress coordinated these activities. Department Chair Sharon Insero and Administrative Assistant Mary Jo Toepfer served as judges for the contests.
