The Week Ahead

The office of Student Life & Leadership Development presents the following events for this week (please share with students):

Humanitarian Mapathon

  • Tuesday, March 28th, 3:30pm to 5pm, Brighton Campus Bldg. 11-111

Join the Mapping Club and Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project for a Humanitarian Mapathon. The mapathon is an opportunity for students to practice using open-source mapping software while supporting humanitarian mapping in high-priority areas.

Wellness Fair

  • Wednesday, March 29th, 11:30am to 1pm, R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center Atrium

Join the Title IX Office, Counseling, Disability, and Health Services Department, and the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development for a holistic wellness fair. Different tables will focus on physical & mental health, sexual health, healthy relationships, healthy eating and overall wellbeing. Refreshments will be provided.

Black & Women Owned Business Celebration

  • Wednesday, March 29th, 12pm to 2pm, R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center Terrace  

Join Black Student Union to help celebrate Women’s History Month by celebrating black woman-owned businesses in the Rochester community.

Super Smash Bros. Tournament

  • Wednesday, March 29th, 4pm to 8pm, Brighton Campus E-Lounge (1-110)

Join the Smash club for a Super Smash Bros. Tournament. Registration is $5.00 for a chance to win $100.00 amazon gift card! Pizza & drinks will be served!

Bollywood Bash

  • Wednesday, March 29th, 6pm to 9pm, R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center Monroe B

Join the Nepali Student Union for a Bollywood Bash! Dress up as your favorite Bollywood/Nepali actors and enjoy food, music, dance performances and more. Entry fee of $5.00 at the door!

Other news:

  • The Chess Club competed at The Chess Center’s 43rd Annual Marchand Open this past weekend March 25th and 26th at the Bill Gray’s Regional Iceplex! 
  • Starting March 27th through March 31st the Disability Awareness Club will be hosting a donation drive of Feminine Hygiene Products for DWIGHT in honor of Women’s History Month. Donation boxes will be outside of Student Life & Leadership Office (Brighton Campus) & Student Services (Downtown Campus).
