HSMI Secures DHS Grant

The Homeland Security Management Institute has been awarded a Department of Homeland Security grant through the County of Monroe for 88K. The grant enables HSMI to continue their work with Community Citizen Preparedness. Last month, the National Director of CERT from Washington visited HSMI and attended our training program at the Center for Disability Rights.  She praised the work of HSMI and Monroe County in delivering this important program to a population that is often neglected but in most need. John Perrone, HSMI director, stated HSMI and Monroe County are garnering a national reputation for their innovation in delivering this program.
