MCC Student's Volunteer Work in India Captured in Newspaper

Mark Hare’s column in the Thursday (Feb. 18) edition of the Democrat and Chronicle focused on Stevie Welch, a student in MCC’s nursing program. She spent three months last year performing volunteer service at a day-care center and working with special needs children in Dharamsala, in northern India. After her service, she also spent a week helping care for orphans and those near death at Mother Teresa’s Mission of Charity in Kolkata. The column describes her experiences abroad and how they’ve changed her perspective at many levels.
