Phone System Outage


Over the holiday break, Communications and Network Services (CNS) will perform major upgrades to the campus phone system. Phone services will experience intermittent outages from 7:00 a.m. Friday, December 26 through 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30. This upgrade is necessary to enhance security, make provision for additional features, and increase the stability of our phone system. Calls into the campus, calls among MCC locations and calls to your Voicemail may be unavailable during this time.

Work will also include upgrades to Automated Call Distribution (ACD) client software (call routing to the next available agent). For departments with this software, CNS staff will be available to assist with the upgrades on Friday, January 2, and Monday, January 5.
