Three Graduates Awarded PAETEC Internships at Commencement

Three members of the MCC Class of 2007—Joseph DiMaggio Morinelli (Greece), Mohamed D. Mohamed-Bilal (Henrietta), and Jennifer L. Sprague (Pittsford)—got more than a degree at the college’s 44th annual Commencement. Keynote speaker and CEO of PAETEC Holding Corp. Arunas Chesonis presented them each with a paid summer internship at the company.

“From our experience working with MCC students, I know anyone who has graduated from MCC has the potential to be the next superstar at PAETEC,” said Chesonis during his keynote address.  PAETEC offers personalized business communications for medium-sized and large businesses, enterprise organizations and institutions across the United States.

In January, Chesonis and his wife, MCC alumna Pamela Chesonis, pledged the Chesonis Family Foundation’s support for the building of a new fitness and recreational facility, named the PAC Center, on MCC’s Brighton Campus. The couple announced that their foundation would match dollars donated to the facility’s capital campaign, up to $1.5 million.

At Commencement, MCC President R. Thomas Flynn thanked Chesonis for his support of MCC, MCC students and the community. “You are changing lives all over this community,” said Flynn. “Thank you doesn’t seem to say enough.”
