Livestream Q&A with Al Gore, followed by a Free Screening of An Inconvenient Sequel

Did you know October is Campus Sustainability Month??

MCC students, faculty, and staff are invited to the Downtown Campus (High Falls A and B) for a free screening of Al Gore's latest documentary: An Inconvenient Sequel on October 26th at 7:15pm. There will be a 30 minute live-streamed Question and Answer session with the former Vice President before the film at 6:45 pm.**

In addition to the film screening events, the Coordinator of the High Falls EcoDistrict will be giving a short presentation in High Falls A and B at 6:15pm. Arrive before the film to learn about Rochester's new EcoDistrict and how you can become involved!

Film synopsis: "A decade after An Inconvenient Truth brought the climate crisis into the heart of popular culture, comes the riveting and rousing follow-up that shows just how close we are to a real energy revolution. Former Vice President Al Gore continues his tireless fight, traveling around the world training an army of climate champions and influencing international climate policy. Cameras follow him behind the scenes -- in moments both private and public, funny and poignant -- as he pursues the inspirational idea that while the stakes have never been higher, the perils of climate change can be overcome with human ingenuity and passion."

This educational event is sponsored by the Sustainability Steering Committee of Monroe Community College. Parking is available in lot AA.

**If students would like to submit a question for consideration, they can contact Laura Penman (lpenman@monroecc.edu) for additional information.
