SLN ANGEL Training for Spring 2012

Attention all faculty! Start working on getting your “wings” -- sign up for newly redesigned ANGEL Training Workshops and join MCC’s esteemed group of over 600 Angel-trained faculty! Over the past few months, MCC instructional designers have been redesigning the Angel workshops in order to provide a more focused and streamlined training experience for faculty. This newly designed training consists of four workshops (A-D) instead of the previous five (1-5). The redesign of these workshops resulted in a reduction in the number of hours needed to complete Angel training. Each of the new workshops is now 2 ½ hours long. In order to web-enhance, workshops A and B are required – for a total of 5 hours (previous training was 9 hours). To teach fully online or hybrid, workshops A-D are required – a total of 10 hours (the previous requirement was 15 hours). One hour Angel “nuggets,” which offer more in-depth training on specific topics, such as the gradebook, will be offered throughout the semester. This redesign was   completed while keeping course quality in mind and the resulting training includes the necessary “ingredients” for quality online course design.

Attached are the specific dates and times for the various workshops. They are also on our online learning website at:
