RochesterWorks! and Finger Lakes Workforce Investment Board, Inc. Scholarships

RochesterWorks! and the Finger Lakes Workforce Investment Board, Inc. offer scholarship money to help students with their educational expenses. Scholarships may assist students with tuition, fees, and other related expenses.

Currently, there are at least two types of scholarships available:

The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Scholarship, which can provide up to $5,000 in retraining money for several in-demand occupations.

The Advanced Manufacturing Career Pathways Grant, which provides up to $8,500 for advanced manufacturing programs.  Any person who is 18 years of age, has earned a high school diploma or GED, is unemployed, and is pursuing a degree in advanced manufacturing (Biotechnology, Engineering Science, Electrical Engineering Technology, Optical Systems Technology, Precision Machining, or Mechanical Technologies) may be eligible.

To determine scholarship eligibility, students should visit the RochesterWorks! website at https://www.rochesterworks.com or contact Bradley Stalker at <mailto:bstalker@rochesterworks.org. To schedule an individual appointment or if you have any questions about the scholarships, call Bradley at 292-2437. As a reminder, Bradley’s office is located on site in the Admissions Office.
