TCC Book Conversation Reminder


This fall the Teaching and Creativity Center (TCC) has resumed its popular professional development series, “Conversations at the TCC” by holding book discussions based on Ken Bain’s award-winning book, "What the Best College Teachers Do." The TCC fall program will culminate on January 12, 2007 when Bain himself will be on campus to present his ideas at an all-college event. Please join us for one of the second discussions in this series.

Brighton Campus, Wed., November 1st, 12-12:50 pm, Room 11-302

Thurs., November 2nd, 3:30-4:20 pm, TCC, Room 2-315
Beth Gizzi will facilitate.

Topic:  Chapters 4-6-“What We Create” Please join us as we discuss what the best teachers know about the development and maintenance of classroom atmosphere.  What do they expect of their students?  How do they conduct class?  How do they treat their students?  (Join us even if you haven’t read the book-you’re sure to have plenty to share on the topic!)

Books:   While all of the complementary copies of  “What the Best College Teachers Do”  have been distributed, copies may be found on reserve at the Circulation Desk in the Brighton or DCC libraries.  The Library also has shelved copies.
