AAWCC-MCC Chapter: New & Past Members Welcomed

Looking for ways to have fun, network with colleagues from across the college, and give back to our community? If so, then please consider joining or renewing your membership for 2016-17 in the MCC Chapter of the American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC-MCC Chapter) by March 1.

Our chapter is “Dedicated to changing women’s lives through leadership and education, thus strengthening our college and communities.” We hope you will consider joining this empowering association and take advantage of the personal and professional development and community service opportunities the chapter offers everyone in the college community, including students.

Spring 2017 events include AAWCC’s National Days of Dialogue* in March on both campuses, coffee talks, service and clothing drives, and a bus trip to Aurora, N.Y, home to Howland Stone Store Museum and MacKenzie-Childs. We’ll celebrate our chapter members and the past academic year at our annual luncheon in June.

If you are interested in joining or renewing your membership for 2016-2017, please complete the attached membership application and forward it with a check payable to MCC-AAWCC Chapter, to Susan Noonan, Academic Services, Spina Administration Building 1-309A. If you have already renewed your membership, thank you! We look forward to seeing you at an upcoming event. If you have any questions about the membership process, please contact Susan Noonan at x2195 or Rosanna Yule (Marketing and Community Relations) at x3024.

* This year’s Days of Dialogue question: How can community colleges CHANGE their environments and encourage employees and students to openly discuss and report sexist comments, sexual assault, harassment and violence? Join the conversation on March 1 at DCC and March 6 at the Brighton Campus.
