Hospitality Management AAS Degree Now Offers an Event Planning Option

The Hospitality Department is excited to offer students a new concentration of study in its degree program.  In addition to the four current options (Culinary Arts/Food Service, Hotel, Golf, and Travel &Tourism) a student can now choose Event Planning.  According to the New York State Department of Labor, employment opportunities for meeting, convention, and event planners in the Finger Lakes region are expected to grow 42.9 percent between 2010 and 2020 with 30 annual job openings.  Questions about the program should be directed to the Hospitality Department.  The department’s main office is located in the R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center on the Brighton campus (3-155).  You may also call 292-2542 with questions.
