MCC President's Reaction to Governor's Announcement on Vaccinations for SUNY Students

On Monday, Governor Cuomo announced the SUNY and CUNY boards will require proof of vaccination for all students attending in-person classes this fall, and encouraged all private universities and colleges to adopt the same guidelines.

President Burt-Nanna's reaction to the announcement was included in local media reports. In one interview, she said:

“I don’t think that we know quite yet all of the ways that this may present some unique challenges for our community colleges. ... We're all still on standby waiting to know what information is new to us and how we need to respond in a way that always keeps our students, our faculty, and our staff safe.”
