The Student Center will be sponsoring the Students Taking Activities for Rewards (S.T.A.R.) program again this semester. Students who attend these educational programs outside of the classroom, such as Dr. Martin Seligman's lecture or poet Staceyann Chin's presentation, will receive star(s) credit towards winning some great prizes. The S.T.A.R. prize is a gift card to Best Buy valued at $250. Students can also win prizes donated by the business community. Such items may be gift certificates for area restaurants, a 30-minute massage therapy session or tickets to the Comix Café. We ask you to please encourage your students to attend these functions. They can pick up a S.T.A.R. card in the Photo ID office Bldg 3-134 or at an event. If you have any questions please contact Donna Allen at ext 2555. Attached is a list of events for this program.
