Coffey Presents Workshop at Victor Central School

Jim Coffey, professor of communication in the Visual and Performing Arts Department, presented a workshop at the Victor Central School's Teacher Center on January 13th. Participants included Victor school counselors, kindergarten teachers and child care providers from several child care centers in Victor. The 90-minute workshop, titled "Connecting the Dots in Early Childhood," weaves early brain development, play, the arts and the development of self-esteem into a unified context that is helpful for anyone working with young children and developing curriculum for them.

Coffey is the founder of 292-BABY, a large community collaboration administered by MCC and supporting parents and caregivers of infants and young children in the community.
