Celebrate National Earth Science Week

Celebrate the National Earth Science Week sponsored by the Geosciences and the MCC Student Association.

On Wednesday, Oct. 19, Glen LaPlaca, owner of Past and Present located in Orchard Park, New York, will have on display a full-sized model adult skull of a Tyrannosaurus rex in the R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center Atrium from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about our planet and the programs available to students here at MCC. Find out what earth science is all about, from bones and stones to the impact geology has on our everyday life: mineral resources, fossil fuels, global warming, natural hazards and geo-political decisions. Take the time to ask “How can I ensure a future Earth worth living for?”
