Silas to Make Rochester Theatrical Debut


Don’t miss Melany J. Silas, Health and Physical Education, in the Rochester Association of Performing Arts (RAPA) production of "Colored Girls Who Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf." The “choreopoem” was written by Ntozake Shange and focuses on the past relationships of seven women of different colors and the emotions behind them. Silas’ performance as the Lady in Orange will mark her theatrical debut.

Performances will be held Sept. 29 and 30 and Oct. 6 and 7 at 8 pm at the RAPA Playhouse, 727 East Main Street, Rochester. A 4 pm matinee performance will also be offered on Oct. 8. Tickets are available from the RAPA Office (325-3366) or Wegman’s Video Departments.
