News from the MCC Board of Trustees Meeting


The MCC Board of Trustees held its meeting in the Warshof Conference Center, Flynn Campus Center on the Brighton Campus on Monday, March 11 and took the following actions:

1.      Accepted the interim financial report as of January 31, 2013.

2.      Authorized the purchase of items over $20,000 as listed for the month of January 2013.

3.      Authorized the transfer of funds (totaling $412,509) between accounts.

4.      Approved the appointment of Richard Ryther as Interim Vice President of Student Services effective February 11, 2013.

5.      Approved the appointment of Randyll P. Bowen as Assistant Vice President, Enrollment Management, effective April 8, 2013.

6.      Approved the promotion of associate professors, assistant professors, and instructors effective September 1, 2013. (See related Tribune announcement.)

7.      Approved the reappointment of non-contract, administrative, faculty and technical assistants/advisors as listed at the ranks and titles indicated for the academic year beginning September 1, 2013 and ending June 30, 2014 for 10-month personnel or August 31, 2014 for 12-month personnel.

8.      Conducted an executive session pursuant to Public Officers Law, Section 105, subsections (e) and (h).

Additionally, the Board heard a presentation from President Kress on direction two of the strategic plan and an update from MCC Foundation Board Chair David Mack.
