Presidential Transitions and Their Impact on the Subsequent Administration

Presented by Professors:

Dr. Nayda Pares-Kane, Professor Louis Andolino, Dr. Joseph Scanlon from the Anthropology/History/Political Science/Sociology Department and Professor Karen Morris from the Business Administration/Economics Department

These brilliant faculty will be discussing the following topics:

  • The importance of norms to our democratic process, the effects of disinformation, and the ways society is processing the current transition via social media and other media outlets.
  • The importance of orderly presidential transitions for the incoming administration, and situate the ongoing election discourse.
  • The legal challenge President Trump unsuccessfully attempted to mount against the outcome of the 2020 Presidential Election.
  • The Biden transition focusing on the executive administration appointees.
