On Wednesday, Aug. 12, Federal Reserve Bank of New York President and CEO William Dudley delivered his economic and workforce development outlook at an event hosted by the Rochester Business Alliance and attended by the local news media. In his remarks, he highlighted MCC’s “significant workforce development initiatives,” including MCC Corporate College and our most recent collaboration with JPMorgan Chase.
In the full transcript of his speech, the three paragraphs he devotes to MCC can be found under the subhead, “The Importance of Workforce Development.” How does he know all this detailed information about MCC? We haven’t had an opportunity to ask him, but the content matches almost perfectly with our June 2014 briefing document on workforce development (see attached).
Each month, we send a briefing document to elected officials and others to inform them of key initiatives related to the college’s mission and the many ways MCC helps students achieve their goals. We are pleased that Mr. Dudley and elected officials are finding these documents helpful in their conversations about the college.
