Local Media Interview Student Military Veterans on 9/11 Anniversary

MCC’s September 11 Remembrance Ceremony received a great deal of media coverage. Adrian Hale, student Senate speaker who served as keynote speaker at the Wednesday event, and Nelson Clark, president of the Student Government Association, were among those interviewed. Both are military veterans.

The first media outlet to arrive at the Brighton Campus was News10 NBC, which broadcast live from 5 to 7 a.m. at the September 11 memorial, as reporter Nikki Rudd spoke with Adrian and first responders in the local community. The final interview of the day took place in the WXXI studio at noon, when 1370 Connection radio program host LeShea Agnew spoke with Adrian and Eric Wheeler, coordinator for MCC’s Academy for Veterans’ Success. They talked about Adrian’s service to the country, his transition to MCC and the various services the college offers to military members, veterans and their families.
