Spread the Word Inclusion Event

Downtown Campus, 2nd floor lounge area

ACE@MCC* is back on campus and we are hosting a Spread the Word Inclusion event. Come join us at the Downtown Campus for food, games, and a mindfulness activity. You will also be able to see student-created posters and information about the Spread the Word campaign.

Spread the Word Inclusion is an ongoing global effort sponsored by Special Olympics and Best Buddies. Although Spread the Word to End the Word (the “R” word) is still an important message, the new campaign is embracing a broader call to action. The stigma and discrimination faced by people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is not limited to a single word – so going forward the campaign is asking everyone to make a pledge to take action for inclusion in your school, community, and workplace.
