Flags of the Nations parade kicks off International Education Week!


Be sure to set aside 15 minutes on Monday, November 17th from 11:50 a.m. – 12:05 p.m. to see the visual array of colors and pride as our students carry flags of the nations our international and immigrant students represent!  They will be parading through the Atrium and up to the Terrace (second floor of the Atrium) as we kick off a very special week of events during International Education Week <https://eca.state.gov/programs-initiatives/international-education-week/>,  as well as officially kick off the opening of the office of Global Education and International Services <https://www.monroecc.edu/ArchAnnou.nsf/4348e1fdc948aa3085256b8a005a8e8b/ba70fa41d86fa87485257d6c005ac30d?OpenDocument>!

Mark your calendars for the following events (find all the details in the attached flier):

November 17th (M):

- Flags of the Nations parade and kick off // 11:50 – 12:05 p.m. in the Terrance, upstairs in the Campus Center                               
- HAWA – the movie // 12:10 – 1:00 p.m. in The Forum

November 18th (Tu): 
Global Fair!  // 11:30 – 1:00 p.m. in the Terrace, upstairs in the Campus Center

November 19th (W): 
- “Uniting & Dividing: How Religion and Politics are Affecting Events in the Middle East” by Dr. Muhammad Shafiq // 12:00 – 12:50 p.m. in Bldg. 5, Rm 300                              
- AT Damon City Campus:  HAWA – the movie // 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., 4th Floor Lounge
- “The Act of Killing” film viewing and discussion // 6:00 p.m. in The Forum

November 20th (Th): 
“Picture Yourself in Iceland!” faculty presentation // 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., in The Forum

November 21st (F):

- “How in the World Can I Internationalize My Curriculum” faculty program // 12:00 p.m. in Bldg. 8, Rm 200
- “Go Global in Your Future!” student program // 12:00 p.m. in the Career & Transfer Center
