Thank You!

How many times a day do we say the words “thank you” to each other?  If you stop and think about it, we probably do not say it enough to each other.

Have you ever had the experience where you purchase something from a store and the clerk hands you back your change and never says “thank you?”  What is the clerk thinking?  How does this leave you feeling?  What do you now think of that clerk and that store?  Do you pass that treatment on to others along your path?

MCC is a big place and there are many offices that provide services to our students, employees and general community members.  Our employees come to work every day with a commitment of service and thoughtfulness, but sometimes even the best of us forget to say thank you.   So let’s take a moment to remind each other of this brief gesture and common courtesy.

As you go about your days at MCC, I hope you experience the kindness and commitment of people expressing their sincere thanks to you.  They are two simple words that are not really hard to say, but they are heavily weighted words that have the ability to lift the average person’s face to a smile and the average day to a better day.

Please join me in saying “thank you.”
