Grainger Foundation Gift Helps PSTC Acquire New RespiTrainers

On July 22, Grainger Foundation representatives District Manager Corbin Olson and Rochester Branch Manager Amy Zah presented a $5,000 check to MCC Foundation Executive Director Diane Shoger and Public Safety Training Center Dean Michael Karnes for the purchase of new RespiTrainers.

The Grainger Foundation generously responded to PSTC’s need for equipment upgrades in order to train students on the same technology they will encounter in the field. The gift will enable MCC to provide a more realistic intubation and ventilation platform for students training to become emergency responders for our community.

According to Shoger, “This is a great extension of Grainger’s support and growing partnership with MCC; this grant brings their total support to $45,000.”

Most recently The Grainger Foundation donated $20,000 to the MCC Foundation to provide scholarships for students interested in pursue degrees in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R).
